Perhaps Mr. Driscoll would be well served by delving into some of the work of John C Maxwell on the subject of leadership. As a deep student of his work myself, I have come to understand leadership in a way that sets it at the forefront of almost any worthwhile endeavor that requires the efforts of more than one person, which is virtually any task of worth.
And it is more than uncanny how the traits of a great leader are so well modeled in the person of Jesus himself. The degree to which Christianity has spread across the entire world more effectively and pervasively than any other business or organization is testament to that fact.
It behooves us all to become better leaders for the sake of whatever purpose we are fulfilling in our lives. Attempting to do anything beyond merely existing without growing and developing one’s leadership ability is tantamount to attempting to build and send a rocket to the moon without ever having looked at a mathematics or physics book.
