THE JESUS PRINCIPLES

LEAD A LIFE THAT EVEN DEATH CAN’T STOP

THE JESUS PRINCIPLES:
INTRODUCTION
Join us in this new weekly video series as Bishop Joseph Mattera takes us deeper into the Jesus principles, based on his latest book.
HOW ‘TO BECOME’ WHO GOD
HAS CALLED YOU TO BE
In Mark 1:17 Jesus spoke to His disciples about their calling. Do you want to become who God has called you to be?
THE POWER
OF AFFIRMATION
Jesus spoke destiny over His disciples even when they couldn’t see it for themselves. As we take a deeper look into Mark 1:17 we will see how Jesus used the power of affirmation to encourage His disciples of their calling.
YOUR NEW IDENTITY
When you walk in your new identity you carry a new way of valuing yourself based on who God says you are. It also takes a community of Christ followers to speak life into you of this new identity.
DOING LIFE WITH OTHERS
In Mark 1:17 Jesus spoke to His disciples about their calling. Do you want to become who God has called you to be?
DO WHAT YOU TEACH
We are called to lead a life that will have a lasting impact on others. A way to leave a legacy is by following the Jesus principle of modeling leadership. Scripture shows us how Jesus modeled what He taught and then explained it with His teaching.
PROPER PLACEMENTS
Where you place someone in your business or church ministry will have a great impact on their destiny. Jesus was strategic in choosing His 12 disciples, even though He had many more disciples to choose from.
Passing the Power
Jesus was willing to share His power to His disciples in order to continue on their mission. If you are going to give someone responsibility you have to give them the power to do it.
Delegating Responsibility
The key to a movement is the distribution of labor. In Luke chapter 9 we see how Jesus didn’t micromanage, He delegated authority.
Purposeful Friendships
Jesus had purposeful friendships that did not just revolve around socializing.
Team Ministry
God called us to be a part of the Body of Christ, with Jesus as the head of the church. As members of the body, we are organically connected not only to Jesus but to one another; thus, you cannot fulfill your destiny by yourself.
Release Others
Jesus said in John 14:12 that we will do even greater works than He; this shows that He was secure in Himself and did not worry about His disciples being greater than Him. Often times some leaders would push others out from getting ahead of them. We are to live for God to get the glory not for our own glory.
Know Your Mission
People need to know what mission you are following before they follow you. Proverbs 26 says that without a vision people are scattered.
Be Transparent
The more transparent we are in sharing our pain with those we are discipling the greater the level of trust we develop. Where there is a mutual environment of trust there will be a release of loyalty, greatness, and synergy like never before.
Prophetic Sense
Jesus had a prophetic sense of what God was doing, as well as what was going to happen in the lives of His disciples, and He shared this with them. When you have a prophetic sense of what God is doing and share your findings with your disciples it shows them that God loves them.
Submission to Authority
In John 12:49 Jesus says, “For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment—what to say and what to speak.” Here Jesus presents great submission to authority. The Bible tells us to submit to our spiritual leaders and to make it a work of joy!
Pray For Your Disciples
Prayer will connect you to the spirit of those you are discipling. It’s through prayer that God will show you what He thinks of your disciples, He will reveal to you what they are going through, and you can rebuke any attacks that the enemy may have over them.
