Sir, you have a great point. However, I am disappointed that as a Pastor you did not think that the character flaws that Michael and Eric had were not enough cause for them to be murdered before the message of Christ’s saving grace could reach them. In times like these, I remember that my Savior pardoned a self-confessed thief on the cross and gave His life a ransom for Barrabas the murderer. Yes, there are societal and family background issues involved in these unfortunate incidents, but I certainly do not agree with you as you seem to subtily claim in your piece that the laws of America dictate that murder is the just punishment for whatever behavioural or character flaws that Michael Brown or Eric Garner might have. When men like you try to justify evil in our world by deflecting the arguments towards other societal ills, then there can be no healing in the land. The Church in America is fast going in the way of the Church of Turkey; turning a blind eye to the injustice being suffered by the less privileged and it’s only a matter of time before the Church gets replaced by something else! Come, Lord Jesus, come.
