The following is a brief snapshot of what I have been doing through Mattera Ministries International for the first six months of 2024. Thank you for your continued support, prayer, and, above all, friendship! 

(This report does not include when I preach in my home church or our weekly Leadership Tables via Zoom with 60-100 movement leaders across North America and beyond.)  

2024 MMI HALF-TIME REPORT 

January

1/17: Podcast with Eric Gilmour

I did a podcast for a social media influencer, Eric Gilmour, on my book, Poisonous Power. We had an incredible time sharing how Jesus was the “unleader” compared to the construct of contemporary leadership and how Jesus calls pastors to live a “cross-shaped” life.

Eric was overwhelmed and asked me to be on again in the future. 

1/19-20: AI summit in Victory Church Calgary, Canada 

I did this Summit with my partners, Chad Reyes and Elijah Low. At the summit, I taught two sessions on the societal impact of Christianity over the past 2000 years. It motivated everyone to go from fear to faith so the church could be the leaders of AI to help shape culture for good and not for evil. Both Chad Reyes and Elijah Low also did outstanding sessions! Now it looks like much of Canada has opened up as we are now in discussions to do similar summits in other major cities in this great nation! Many thanks to Dr. Phil Nadine, an apostolic ambassador for the kingdom who opened vast doors for our team in Canada.

1/21: Victory Church 

I preached to almost 1000 people in Victory Church overseen by pastor Craig Buroker. They are an amazing church that does much good in their community and beyond.I preached two services on the topic: “Going back to Eden.” God moved powerfully through the preaching in both services with many coming up after the word to dedicate themselves to planting the Garden of the Lord in their home, business, and community! 

1/27-28: Nation Builders Church, Staten Island, NY

I taught the leaders of the two campuses of Nation Builders Church in Staten Island. This is an amazing church led by Pastor Carlos Gimenez and his wife, Lissette.

I taught two sessions: “Understanding the Corporate Son,” which involves viewing the church as the body of the Son of God, Jesus, and the second session, I taught “The First Fruits Offering.” In both sessions, God gave me great grace and faith to believe they will raise $100,000 to help with the event Carlos leads on July 5 in Madison Square Garden called Adora America.

The next day, I preached on “the Church as the First Fruits of God” based on exegeting Ephesians 1. The spirit of God moved very powerfully through the preaching and greatly encouraged the church to the point that 85% of them came forward to the front, dedicating their lives and bringing their first fruit offering for the new year.

I thank God for the privilege of ministering at such an important time in the history of this great church.

February 

2/7-2/11: Tampa, FL

I preached to about 50 leaders from six congregations in Pasca, Florida, on “The Light of the World Tabernacle” under the direction of pastors Leonard Lord and Jerry Heukis. I taught from Ephesians 4 on the subject, “The Corporate Son.”

God gave me great grace to teach and show the corporeality of the body of Christ from the beginning of time until now. It encouraged the church to continue coming together and developing corporate oneness so the world would believe the Father sent Jesus. 

I did a live leadership table via Zoom with about 57+ leaders and about a dozen pastors from the Tampa, Florida, area in Pastor Daniel Benard’s home.

I taught “The Connection Between the Gospel of John and the Book of Revelation” and how we must embrace metaphor as theology in addition to the typical historical-grammatical method we currently employ. God gave me great grace, and we could feel the strong presence of God come into the room as I expounded on both of these incredible books.

2/10: The “Built for AI” Summit, Tampa, FL

On Saturday, I opened the summit by sharing “The Impact Christianity Has Had On The World The Past 2000 Years.” God gave me great grace to share with the approximately 75 pastors and leaders present from the Tampa region. Everyone was greatly motivated to move from fear to faith and utilize AI to become the world’s leading innovators.

Our team included Host pastor Caleb Hyers, Elijah Lowe, Danielle and Chad Reyes, and myself.

It was an extraordinary event, with many leaders expressing their eagerness for us to return to Tampa for a larger regional assembly on this subject.

2/11: The Resting Place, Tampa, FL

Sunday morning, I preached at “The Resting Place.” God gave me great prophetic insight to share on “How the Kingdom of God Corresponds to the Original Garden of Eden.” I used many scriptures to show the patterns between Genesis and the New Testament, illustrating how Jesus, as the “last Adam,” came to restore creation so that heaven and earth would align just like the original paradise of God.

Ministering to this young, energetic, powerful congregation was a delight! I’m very proud of Caleb; he already has about four campuses in just five years.

2/24-3/4: Brazil Trip

I preached at “Ocean of Grace Church (Igreja Oceano da Graça)” in Brasilia, Brazil, with Pastor Sinval. This mega-church in the city has much influence in the nations. In the evening, I preached at “The Community of the Nations Church,” led by Bishop J.B. He leads approximately 13 campuses in Brasilia and a large network of Bishops and movements called the “Spheres network.”

(It was a special occasion as Bishop JB had his church leaders attend this particular service, fostering a sense of unity and shared learning within the community.)

I received a prophetic teaching for the body of Christ that morning entitled, “Which Tree are You?” I taught about how the two trees in the Garden of Eden typify the two categories of humanity: those who receive their wisdom from God and those who receive it from the world. God moved powerfully through the word in both services, which had almost 1000 in each service! 

Many people said my teachings opened their eyes to the patterns and principles of Scripture. 

2/26-28: Apostolic Summit 

The theme of the summit was “As One.” This historic summit had several of the nation’s most influential leaders of apostolic networks. Speakers included Movement leaders such as Rene Tera Nova, Apostle Fadi, Cesar Augusto, Ricardo Wagner, Apostle Robinson, John Kelly, Thomas Walker, Marcello Toschi, and many others. 

I opened the general session with part 1 of my message on oneness, “How Spiritual Leaders Function as the Stars of Heaven.” God moved with clarity and anointing to illustrate the symbolic connection between the stars set to rule in Genesis 1 to the angelic hosts and the angel/bishop/stars of Rev. 1. Many apostolic leaders had their minds opened to another dimension of biblical interpretation that they never heard before! 

During a Tuesday afternoon luncheon with key leaders of Brazilian movements, “Poppa” John Kelly and I discussed the importance of movement leaders connecting. Poppa Kelly did a great job sharing, and all the leaders were open and willing to unite in this historic private gathering. 

That evening, I taught “How the Earth was Originally Made to Function as a Cosmic Temple.” I explained how, after the fall, God utilized various expressions of a heavenly temple to dwell on the earth. The church functioned as the temple starting on the day of Pentecost, culminating in the future with the new Jerusalem (city/bride), coming out of heaven to earth. 

I illustrated how God’s glory filled the temple only after each part was connected as one cohesive unit. The leaders were deeply convicted by the teachings, and this conviction fueled their determination to work together as apostolic coalitions in Brazil. 

I was the speaker for the chaplain services for Christian senators, congressmen, and political leaders in the federal Senate building. God moved powerfully as I preached on “The Kingdom of God” and showed how Jesus was crucified for political reasons and how much of the gospel has political overtones as a conflict between the kingdom of God and the kingdoms of this world. After the service, the national senator hosting the event said that I was welcome to come back whenever I was available, and he even wanted to have lunch together. Still, I had to decline to go to another meeting. Indeed, it was a significant meeting! It was a tremendous breakthrough service that aided the Brazilian church in influencing the gates of their nation.

I thank Bishop JB, who trusted me to be the opening speaker for this significant gathering!

I spoke to about 100 students and faculty on “The Purpose of Ephesians 4:11 Ministry” for Bishop JB at “Faculdade das Nações.” God granted me great grace to unpack the scriptures and illustrate how God calls these ministry gifts to equip and place the Saints in every sphere of society.

Power Church in Bel Horizonte 

The following day, Bishop Ray Mott and I flew to Belo Horizonte to minister in Power Church, which Bishop Carlos Damascene leads. At 5 pm, I taught 100 key leaders, including politicians, local pastors, and entrepreneurs from Power church.

My subject was “Discerning Between Protege, Partners, and Parasites,” from my book Cutting Edge Leadership. Bishop Ray Mott also brought great insight into this subject. We had a fantastic time sharing, and everyone thought nurturing disciples and transforming a Community was a fundamental principle.

At the 8 pm service, 6-800 people crammed into the service. The Spirit came upon me in power to teach “The Kingdom of God.” A great spiritual weight and illumination regarding their cultural calling were deposited into the great church, which had a fantastic assignment to produce disciples who would influence every segment of society.

3/1-3: Porte Alegre sessions 

I flew from Belo Horizonte to Porto Alegre. Ray Mott and I ministered to about 100 pastors and leaders in an apostolic event in Porto Alegre, part of a network led by Ricardo Wagner. I taught three sessions: “Contrasting Denominations from Apostolic Movements,” “10 Obstacles to Building an Apostolic Movement,” and “The Profile of an Apostolic Leader.”

Ray Mott taught from one of my books on “Understanding 12 Different Kinds of Apostolic Leaders.”

3/20-24: France Trip

I taught ten sessions to 100 French leaders in a retreat center in Sete, including five apostolic networks joined under one umbrella network called “RNC.” Apostle Jean-Marc Ponte leads it. Jean-Marc is an incredibly wise and balanced leader who allows other people to shine and can keep these various apostolic leaders and teams together. These leaders have built a very great culture based on humility and community.  They have a lot of promising young people being trained in apostolic teams. I’m excited that I was able to invest four days of my life into this promising French Movement. 

I taught six sessions from Ephesians, one session on the various views of the book of Revelation and eschatology, one on how the Glory of God is only released in unity, and another on how to build a generational church. There was an extraordinary response, incredible feedback, and a desire for ongoing dialogue and learning. By God’s grace, a new and expansive paradigm of biblical interpretation was introduced, similar to that utilized by the apostles and the early church fathers. It will give them much to work through moving forward. Thankfully, they said it was also very relevant regarding their current condition (Praise God!). On Sunday, I taught at the church led by Pastor Rodrigue Sacramento, “The Key Church,” in Montpellier. I taught for an hour on “The Impact Christianity has had on Western Civilization.” I gave them historical examples and shared specifically about the impact the French Church and the Huguenots had that reverberates today. They were greatly encouraged and desired a Christian Renaissance in their community and nation. They also want to take the teaching and share it all over France. 

One of their members knows the city’s mayor and wants to share the teaching with him. He thinks it will help the mayor understand the purpose of the Church and believes this will open up doors for them. 

Also, at the leadership retreat in Sete, I met a person who publishes books in the French language in all 46 French-speaking nations of the world, and he wants to start publishing my articles, and eventually my books, in French. Representing Poppa John Kelly and ICAL as their international ambassador was an honor! I’m excited about this role as I continue by God’s grace to help Poppa Kelly and the collective team of ICAL leaders build the global network so we can positively impact our cities and nations!

4/7: Union, NJ

For my dear friend, Pastor Raul Burgos, I preached in Communidad Christian Church in Union, NJ. The Lord impressed upon me to summarize the Old Testament book of Hosea and teach how this prophetic work pointed to the love Christ has for His church. God moved powerfully through the preaching. Many people responded, and several gave their lives to Christ. 

4/11-13: A Transformative Gathering: CCC’s Annual Face-to-Face at Rosedale, NJ

I had the privilege of leading our annual CCC Face-to-Face event centered on the profound teachings of the Book of Malachi. Over these three extraordinary days in Rosedale, NJ, we experienced a powerful convergence of almost a dozen pastors who delivered expository teachings and sermons from this significant biblical text.

Highlights of the Event:

Thursday Night Insight: I kicked off the event with a half-hour overview of Malachi, themed around the concept of “messenger,” setting the stage for the following deep dives.

Friday’s Fusion of Scripture and Story:

In the morning session, I connected Malachi’s “The Sun of Righteousness Has Healing in His Wings” with the story of Christ, tracing back to Genesis 1 and offering a fresh perspective on these timeless teachings.

With around 60 pastors and movement leaders in attendance, this year’s gathering was perhaps the most remarkable assembly of expository preaching I have ever witnessed.

A Night of Spiritual Awakening:

Our Friday night session was electrified by Dr. Fernando Cabrera’s discourse on the “Refiner’s fire,” which not only cleansed but also ignited an urgent call for collective prayer. This led to an intense breakout session, during which a spirit of intercession swept through our corporate service, profoundly impacting everyone present. The Holy Spirit worked mightily among us, creating bonds that will forever change us and deepen our commitment to our faith and communities. This gathering was not just a meeting; it was a milestone in our spiritual journey, leaving each of us transformed and renewed. I can’t wait until our following face-to-face table in April 2025!

4/20: Pastors gathering at Words of Life Church, Bronx, N.Y. 

I ministered to a few dozen critical pastors in anticipation of our July 5 Madison Square Garden “Adora America” gathering. God gave me a dream about what to teach them, and so I taught “How The Church Represents God on the Earth.” God gave me incredible illumination from the Scriptures. The prophetic teaching made a big impact and encouraged everybody, with many people wanting the video and my notes.

Together with Pastor Carlos Jimenez, Pastor Ben Paz, and Pastor David Greco, we all spoke about the incredible opportunity to unite the body of Christ on July 5th. 

4/21-24: Nation Builders Church, Staten Island, NY

I preached at Nation Builders church, led by Pastor Carlos Jimenez. God gave me a strong prophetic unction to preach on “10 Hindrances for National Awakening.” I was only able to get through six points 

The spirit of God moved so strongly that people came to the altar crying, lying prostrate on the floor, and asked me to come and finish the message at their Wednesday night midweek service. Recently, I spoke to one of the young leaders, who said she had received “a spirit of prayer and travail” that had not left her since that gathering. This powerful experience has united us in a commitment to cause a multigenerational impact in our family and community. I thank God for the extraordinary gift of faith Carlos Jimenez has to bring the Hispanic church together in Madison Square Garden on July 5th!

4/24

I celebrated The release of my latest book, “The Mandate: A Call to Embrace the Restorative Power of the Gospel. “I am so excited that this book, which focuses on effective urban ministry and tells the story of the Resurrection church, has finally come out! My hope is that it will provide many practical strategies for inner-city urban apostolic leaders and churches.

4/26-27th, AI Summit, Lowell, MA

Hosted by Bishop Raffoul Najem, our kingdom innovations team, made up of Chad Reyes, Elijah Low, and myself, convened a meeting in the region of Boston under the leadership of Bishop Raffoul Najem, who has massive influence in New England and oversees about 30 churches. I spoke on Friday night on “the impact Christianity had in the nations the last 2000 years.” God gave me a strong prophetic flow as I did not utilize notes and summarized the impact of Christianity over the past 2000 years. After I spoke Friday night, almost everyone came to the front to dedicate their lives to becoming multi-generational change agents in society. 

On Saturday, Chad Reyes taught eloquently on leadership, and Elijah taught very powerfully on AI. On Sunday, I preached on “How Jesus Released Human Potential” from my book “The Jesus Principles.” God granted me an extraordinary preaching anointing, and the hundreds of people attending recommitted their lives to Jesus! One of the influential Brazillian leaders in attendance asked me to come to Rio next year to speak to 5-10 thousand business leaders at their annual whole gospel businessmen’s convention.

I am looking forward to this!

5/3-4: Built for AI Summit, Life Center, Charlotte, NC

Bishop Terrell Murphy hosted the summit. I preached on “The Advent of the Kingdom of God” and showed how Christianity helps civilized Western civilization and discipled nations because of their holistic vision of life. God gave me a very strong prophetic flow, and I preached about how Christianity influenced education, science, music, politics, law, and the eradication of slavery. Many people came up to me and said they had never heard anything like this, and their experience caused a mind-shift that changed their lives! 

Chad Reyes taught leadership and Elijah Low on various forms of AI, and it was a revolutionary experience for the hundred or so pastors and leaders from the region. Many desired to follow up, utilize AI in their churches, and be on the leading edge of culture.

5/5: Life Center, Charlotte, NC

God gave me a prophetic word to preach that morning: “How the Universe was a Liturgical Act of Creation Set Up as a Cosmic Temple.”

The result was that hundreds of people came to the front, weeping, praying, and waiting for God to transform them — many lingered at the altar for over an hour! My teaching resulted from an incredible experience of receiving divine illumination from the Scriptures when I awoke in the morning. It kept pouring into me to the point that I had no time to eat breakfast before church.

5/24: The Christian Cultural Center

WMCA honored me with the “Barnabas award” for encouraging and mentoring NYC pastors with my teachings.
