January and February 2015

I thank God for the start of another year! 2014 was a groundbreaking year and I trust that this year will be even greater for the glory of God.

The Reconciled Church event

On January 14-15, I worked with Bishop Harry Jackson, who initiated an event for 100 national Christian leaders to help heal the racial divide in the body of Christ.

This event was hosted by Bishop T.D. Jakes and included other leaders such as James Robison, Andrew Young, John Perkins, John Hagee, Steven Strang, Ann Jimenez, Robert Morris, Paul Morton, Jim Garlow, Joshua Dubois, Leith Anderson, Tony Perkins, John Jenkins, high-level representatives from the Department of Justice and NYPD, and many others.

This was a powerful and intense time of prayer, dialogue and teaching. This was likely the first of many events. Many expressed great hope at the level of honesty and earnestness among those of us present and I believe it helped bring more unity and understanding as it relates to the historic issue of race relations in this great nation. 

February 1: Rock City Church in Baltimore 

I had the privilege of preaching in the Rock City Church, which is under the leadership of my dear friend Bishop Bart Pierce. This is one of the great churches in the nation that serves as a model for revival and city reaching!

God laid upon my heart to teach on Ephesians 4:1-17 regarding the need for the character of Christ to be formed in the church so we can have unity and fulfill our calling. This can only be done as people sit under the five-fold ministry gifts God gave the church (verse 12), that dispense His grace for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry. God gave me great liberty to preach this prophetic message and many responded and went to the altar to dedicate their lives to fulfill the call of God.

February 4-13: South Africa 

Johannesburg

I was excited to preach at Gate Ministries’ Apostolic Summit along with Apostles Thamo Naidoo and Sagie Govender. I spoke four different times in the four-day conference to about 500 leaders representing more than 25 nations, regarding the Kingdom of God and how the church is called to apply the gospel to culture. The first two sessions I summarized the meta-narrative of scripture using the Book of Ephesians and the last two sessions had to do with understanding the wineskin of the kingdom.

On Sunday I preached on the kingdom prayer Jesus taught us for kingdom living (Matthew 6:6-9).

Also the fantastic presentations by Thamo and Sagie showed that God has raised them up to bring a pure apostolic model to the church in South Africa and beyond.

Durban

After the conference in Johannesburg, I flew to Durban and ministered three sessions to about 140 pastors on the kingdom. Subjects included: how Genesis 1:28 frames all other scriptures; the negative consequences of separating the gospel from the kingdom; and 10 implications of the Kingdom of God.

God gave me great grace to teach and preach, and it seemed to greatly edify and strengthen the church in Durban.

Dr. Sagie has the greatest model of City Church of anywhere else in the nations that I have witnessed.

Cape Town

The last night of ministry for me was when I opened up the City Church conference led by Dr. Sagie in this great city. God gave me a powerful prophetic teaching on the generational kingdom as I addressed more than 500 leaders.

Dr. Sagie and many other leaders told me the message had a profound effect and will change the way they do things in their churches. I believe my connection with Thamo and Sagie was a divine appointment and will result in kingdom partnerships for the global apostolic church.

February 17: Newark Apostolic Leadership Summit 

This was our first ever United States Coalition of Apostolic Leaders’ Summit! This event was organized and hosted by Rev. Bernard Wilkes in the Metropolitan Baptist Church. There were about 30 pastors and apostolic leaders who attended. In this meeting I shared the 4 R Vision of USCAL, which is: the Restoration of the church; Reconciliation between ethnic leaders and movements; Revival in the church; and Reformation of society.

God gave me the ability to present this vision in the power of His grace and Spirit so that it was easily understood and fluid. As a result of this gathering, about a half a dozen apostolic leaders indicated they wanted to join our movement. My thanks go to Bishop Frank Dupree and Rev. Bernard Wilkes who made this gathering possible.

February 22: The Love of Jesus Family Church in Orange, New Jersey 

On Sunday night, I was thrilled to be with Pastor Jason Alvarez and the great congregation he oversees! This is an apostolic center that plants churches, supports pastors, and produces world-class musicians and singers that go on to record albums that glorify God and promote His kingdom.

On this night I preached on the 10 principles of the Jerusalem Apostolic Church Model based on the first nine chapters of the Book of Acts. God gave me great liberty to preach and afterward Pastor Jason said that it really imparted something to the church. I thank God for the privilege of being able to be a blessing to this great apostolic church.
