Uganda

August 19-25, 2014

I was excited to go back to Uganda to minister to the NDE Network of pastors and leaders. There were over 1,000 pastors who came out for five days of biblical training. About 600 of these pastors were bussed from some of the poorest rural areas of the nation. These pastors are too poor to pay for their own expenses. Thus, MMI paid for all of my expenses and NDE paid for the expenses of the pastors and attendees. Many of these pastors are even too poor to have their own bibles or purchase resources, so I gave out my book Ruling in the Gates free of charge to the key senior pastors who attended.

Tuesday August 19

On this day I felt a great burden for the marriages and families of the pastors and leaders as I began a three-part teaching on the generational aspect of the Kingdom of God. This night I taught on “Six Steps to Biblical Dominion” in which I exegete on Genesis1:27-28 and showed that cultural dominion starts with marriage and training children to fill the earth and every sphere of society with godly leadership.

There was great hunger and all the pastors and leaders responded at the end to the altar call to receive prayer to carry the generational kingdom anointing to their biological and spiritual children.

Wednesday August 20

On this night I taught on how the Kingdom of God is the main theme of the entire Bible and how we need to frame all the scriptures in both the Old Testament and New Testament with the cultural mandate of Genesis1:27-28 because it was the first covenant to humankind. I also showed how all spiritual warfare is generational (between two seeds: Genesis:3:15) and that the enemy doesn’t care if he loses a battle with godly parents as long as he captivates the minds of their children with false ideology and sinful living. Again there was a huge response with all the leaders engaged in fervent prayer for their offspring, to make commitments to disciple the next generation and to begin to perpetuate a generational blessing that will alter the nation.

Thursday August 21

This night I ministered on God the Father’s heart toward believers and how we need to root our identity as sons of God more than on anything else in our lives. There was a great move of God at the end to heal father wounds, orphan spirits, and a spirit of rejection on the approximately 1,000 leaders who responded to the message.

Friday August 22

On this day I preached late at night to about 200-300 young marketplace leaders who met for an all-night prayer meeting in the Watoto Church in Kampala. (This is most likely the largest and most influential church in the whole nation, with more than 3,000 community groups that serve their city.) I taught and answered questions for about 90 minutes regarding the overall structure of the kingdom and its application to culture for a just society. Since they were all very educated, my teaching was deep, and packed with scripture and practical application regarding the call of the church to serve their city and nation.

There was amazing hunger amongst these young people. The next time I come to this church I am going to try to bring several hundred of my books on the kingdom as a discipleship tool to leave with them.

Monday August 25

I preached in a Christian Center in the heart of Kampala during a lunchtime service for marketplace believers. This center is right next door to a radical Islamic mosque and has been very effective in showing the love and truth of God to them and the non-believers in their area. (They have had about 150 Muslims give their lives to Christ since they began their ministry many years ago.) Their main center was started in the midst of eight brothels with 30 women in each one. After several years there was so much transformation that now there is only one brothel left. Many of these ladies are coming to Christ for the glory of God.

In thisnoonservice I taught on understanding the unconditional love and fatherhood of God. All the people were greatly moved and were shouting and receiving this word that was bringing faith and healing to their souls.

Praise God that I have been able to build upon solid foundations as MMI partners with these key churches, networks and leaders in the great nation of Uganda. This is the fifth time I have ministered in Kampala in the last three years. I also heard from the leader of family ministry Back to Eden, Pastor Enos Nabudere, that the teachings I am doing every year are changing the lives and ministries of the pastors and every year they want to come out to continue to build upon the knowledge and impartation they have received the year before. Pastor Enos and his wife Florence have been dear friends and faithful intercessors for my ministry for the past two years, and have taken in 35 orphan children into their own home that already housed eight of their biological children. They also are believing God for another building to fit another 10 children into their family. I thank God my teachings the past several years have been a big blessing and aid to Pastor Enos and Florence as they disciple pastors and leaders in regards to the biblical framework for marriage and family.
