In contemporary culture, the influence of far-left radicals has become increasingly evident across various arenas. In this article, I examine six specific domains where their dominance is apparent, supported by the source material. The reality is that ideological and political neutrality is elusive, as one prevailing worldview tends to dominate or be favored in a society over time. While the far left is accusing conservative Christians of wanting to set up a “Taliban like” theocracy in the USA (an accusation without merit or substance), the point of this article is to prove that it is the left that is exerting dominion over culture vis–a–vis the Taliban. 

To understand how cultural dominance evolves, there are four interconnected steps toward societal and cultural domination.

1. Religion/Morality: Every society is shaped by a particular morality that forms its foundational beliefs and values.
2. Philosophy: Depending on a society’s moral ethos, philosophical questions arise regarding how individuals should live under these societal values.
3. Political Theory: Philosophy gives birth to political theories that align with the underlying ideological framework, seeking to translate abstract ideas into practical governance.
4. Law and Public Policy: Political theories manifest as laws and public policies that shape and regulate society.

In the Western world, Judeo-Christian moral ethos has been replaced by the religion of far-left secular humanism as the prevailing societal underpinning. Consequently, far-left radical ideology has gained top-down dominion in at least six key arenas, exerting influence over the following:

1. Far Left Dominance in Academia

Far-left intellectual elites in universities have gained a stronghold in academia, shaping curricula, stifling conservative viewpoints, and promoting a politically correct environment. This dominance has led to the indoctrination of students and the suppression of intellectual diversity. Numerous studies and reports have documented the pervasive influence of so-called “woke” ideology in universities. A study by the National Association of Scholars (NAS) titled, “The Irreproducibility Crisis of Modern Science,” highlights the suppression of dissenting viewpoints and the ideological homogeneity that hinders intellectual diversity on campuses. It backs up these charges by giving instances of conservative speakers being disinvited or facing disruptions, reflecting the shutting down of conservative ideas in the name of political correctness.

2. Media and Entertainment

The media and entertainment industries have become vehicles for promoting far-left ideologies, often disregarding balanced reporting and presenting a biased narrative. Reports from organizations like the Media Research Center (MRC) have highlighted conservative voices being censored or de-platformed on major social media platforms. This suppression is often carried out under the guise of combating hate speech or misinformation. The MRC’s TechWatch project and the CensorTrack database provide extensive evidence of this pattern, showcasing the influence of far-left activists in shaping online discourse.

Furthermore, platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube have faced criticism for biased content moderation and suppression of conservative voices. Hence, it is evident that the far left’s ideology dominates all major social media platforms. 

3. Pushing Radical Diversity through Corporate Culture and Practices

Far-left activists have made significant strides in shaping corporate culture, pushing for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Many rationally minded people are concerned about how this enforcement of radical ideology can stifle free expression, limit meritocracy, and impose a conformity of thought within organizations. The rise of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives has opened the door for far-left radicals to exert influence within corporations. These activists often push for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies prioritizing radical ideologies over meritocracy. A report by the Center for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology titled, “The Ideological Capture of Corporate America,” provides evidence of this trend, highlighting how DEI policies are being weaponized to enforce specific ideological agendas.

4. Government Institutions and Policies

Far-left radicals have gained influence within government institutions, leading to the implementation of progressive policies. All concerned citizens need to evaluate the long-term consequences of these policies on personal liberties and societal values.

These actions indicate a tilt towards radical policies, from executive orders promoting critical race theory, to appointments of unelected far-left individuals to high offices, to infiltrating the military with far-left ideology. Source material from news outlets and analysis by think tanks, such as The Heritage Foundation and the Cato Institute, offer insight into the alignment of the Biden administration with radical ideology.

As a result, these radicals have played a significant role in shaping public policies about abortion, alternate forms of marriage, human sexuality, and comprehensive sex education programs that may clash with traditional values. Government publications, legislative actions, and reports from organizations like the Family Research Council can be researched for more information. 

5. Weaponizing Federal law enforcement agencies like the FBI

Concerns have been raised about the politicization and weaponization of law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, under the influence of far-left activists. Investigative reports by outlets like The Federalist and The Hill shed light on potential abuses of power, biased investigations, and the targeting of individuals based on their political affiliations. These reports provide source material that suggests far-left infiltration within law enforcement agencies. Some reported abuses include the FBI’s surveillance on Donald Trump based on the unverified Steele dossier, which raised concerns about politically motivated targeting. (I report this even though I am not a fan of Donald Trump).

6. The public school system

Public schools in many progressive cities are presently functioning more like public indoctrination centers than centers of learning. 

This is because far-left radicals have been actively promoting radical ideologies to young impressionable students. One salient example is the promulgation of transgender ideology, including exposing children to drag queen reading hours. In elementary schools, materials promoting gender fluidity and transgender identities without parental consent have become increasingly prevalent. The Fair Play for Women organization has documented cases of transgender policies impacting girls sports and eroding female rights. Advertisements featuring transgender individuals have also gained prominence, reflecting the influence of this ideology in the advertising industry.

In conclusion, the fact that far-left ideology permeates virtually every aspect of societal life cannot be denied. Consequently, citizens from every ethnicity and every political position should be vigilant regarding the protection and freedom of intellectual diversity and discourse to ensure human flourishing with the best ideas available.
