Did you intend to address only a particular type of narcissist (the overt one)? I ask because your post sets things up as a list of traits of narcissists as it manifests in leadership in general, yet the listed traits focuses on overt signs from a particular type while overlooking the underlying reason that can result in other traits, instead. (Example: Consider how the end goal for a narcissist is essentially attention and unquestioning obedience—idolization, really—and playing the martyr can also work for that.)
I’m not saying the list is itself incorrect. Just pointing out that there may be a disconnect between what it is and what you intended it to be. That’s much of my day job, so I tend to notice these things. 🙂
