I believe all of those situations will crop up in one way or another. The deceptons we are seeing in the church are blinding many to accept them. I’m astonished just in the changes that seen in the last fifty years. More and more will the church strink in numbers and rise in power with overcomers given to do what Christ, through the Holy Spirit commands us to do in His name and for His glory. Thank you for this clear message. May God contnue to guide us and prepare for troubling times ‘within’ the church.
Thanks for addressing the issue. I would hope one thing, among others, when a minister does fall….”please be quiet for a while as you go through a restoration process.” The pontificating by a recently fallen star seems out of place for a truly repentant person. I believe we should be praying for each one who does fall, but wait a while before listening to them. Having said that, I don’t want to err related to Gal. 6:1, just stating what I believe is a way their healing might better proceed.
You are sériously mistaken if you think that God has judged the Catholic Church. There is ONE Catholic Church with 1.2 bíllion members. There are 40,000 different Protestant churches and sects. Which one of the 44,000 Protestant churches is the right one – yours? Because every one thinks théir church is the right one. You know this is true. Jesus said that a tree is known by its fruit. It is absolutely clear to me which of the above is bearing the best fruit (and I am not Catholic). The Protestant churches and sects are inherently flawed by their individual interpretation of the Bible, and all the heresies it has bread, especially in America! Not so with the Catholic and Orthodox churches, where the church interprets the Bible. Despite the many doctrinal errors in the Catholic Church, no Protestant church can even closely match their works of charity and fruit, ie orphanages, schools, hospitals, ministry to the poor and needy, different orders, etc – over 2000 years! I would any time rather identify with the present humble Pope than with the many arrogant and conceited rock-star Protestant preachers and peddlers of God’s Word. The Catholic Church is also múch more Christ-centered than the Protestant churches – and that is a fáct. The Protestant churches are Bíble centered!
People believe in the Bible, and then conveniently jump to the Reformation, cutting out 1500 years of Church history, in which the Holy Spirit was actually very active – contrary to Protestant belief. The greatest error and heresy in the world perhaps have come from the teachings of the Pentecostal and charismatic churches in America! The once flourishing Philadelphia has now become a full-blown Laodicea(!), with its false teachings of crossless Christianity; hyper-faith; a repentance-free gospel; the hyper-prosperity gospel; dominion theology; hyper-grace, G12, easy-believism, and a overemphasis on the Holy Spirit leading to excesses, etc (and I am a Spirit-filled, tongue talking Christian). Many Pentecostal and charismatic churches in America have become totally ápostate – just as the Bible warned us about the great falling away in the end times, instead of kingdom triumphalism . We should áll content for the faith once delivered to the saints, that is historic Christian orthodoxy. I suggest you consider this as a word of the Lord to you. Thank you, I appreciate your ministry and your writing.
Ancient Jewish tradition pivots amount of worldly material wealth acquired and accumulated over a period as a yardstick of overall earthly success and heavenly blessings.
This trend has been continuous among Pastors who wholly believe in Judaism and still fully embrace this tradition of earthly material wealth as a measure of heavenly blessings.
In addition, the instance someone mentally awakens to the realization that he/she has gotten lucky and notices his/her spirit guide’s comings, goings, and dimensions of manifestation, then he/she develops either a faith, or hyper grace, or adherence to draconian Mosaic laws or hyper prosperity gospel as a niche of religious devotion and expounds on them through consciencely and consciously manipulating an angelic guide.
Sustenance of these religious moments results into angelic worshiping and indeed most Pentecostal churches are angelic founded rather than God initiated. The outcome is worship of a creature rather than a creator.
Continuity of such an original mission falters once a dreamer or vision bearer who got the calling has passed on.
Angelic guides most often do not directly pass on the spiritual baton automatically – to continue their shadowy walk – to an immediate descendant of a church founder. Inheritors of the mantle of a church wind up wearing a new set of spiritual gloves and boots while searching for a new paradigm, direction, and vision to propel a church forward.
