This has been an exciting year for me as MMI continues to move forward advancing the Kingdom of God through books, articles, audio, conferences and personal mentoring.
The following is a month-by-month report in the fourth-quarter of 2017
October 4 – 6, 2017 – Leadership Retreat
During these three days, Christ Covenant Coalition (CCC) hosted its annual leadership retreat. This invitation-only event is primarily for the friends and family of the leadership council of CCC. It was an amazing experience as about 16 leaders worked together to unpack the whole book of Ephesians.
October 13,14, 2017 – Breath of Life conference
This is an event hosted by Jim Jorgenson, one of the council members of CCC. On Friday evening, I spoke on how Paul reached a city (Acts 19). God gave me a very strong prophetic teaching anointing that brought repentance, conviction, and breakthrough to the 100-plus leaders in attendance.
Saturday afternoon, I preached on “Having a Theology as Big as Your Region” to show how Paul taught the Ephesian church a theology sufficient for the cultural effects they had as shown in Acts 19. God gave me great illumination as I continued with the Ephesian church methodology of reaching a city.
Many leaders came forward and were motivated to advance His Kingdom!
October 21, 2017 – Movement Day NYC
On Saturday October 21st, I taught several hundred leaders gathered in Harlem, NY, on “Having a Christ-centric Life.” This was an exposition especially involving a chapter-by-chapter summary of the book of Hebrews which presents Christ as higher and greater than any other bible character or Angel.
God gave me spontaneous prophetic illumination as I had no time to use notes or read from anything, and all seemed to be edified by the teaching.
In the early afternoon both Dr. AR Benard and I did a podcast together for Movement Day NY on the topic “How the Church Should Reach Marketplace Leaders.” It was also great fun to share the microphone with my dear friend and great national leader pastor Benard! Last I checked more than 1,000 people listened to the podcast! Click here to listen to the podcast episode: apple.co/2pMxF5q
October 29,30, 2017 – Sunday morning and Monday evening in Freeport Bible Church Long Island
During these days I was invited to be a key note speaker for my friend Luis Vargas who leads a large Hispanic church in Long Island along with a large international network.
Sunday morning, I preached on “How the Church of Ephesus Transformed Their Region” based on Acts 19.
Monday evening I preached on “Having a Theology as Big as the Kingdom”. Almost all of the 700 leaders present responded and came forward for prayer after these messages were delivered.
God be praised for His power and authority to Minister His Word!
November 1-5, 2017 with Buford in Florida
I spent five fantastic days in Pensacola, Florida, with USCAL National Council member Buford Lipscomb. He leads a mega-church of almost seven thousand members with six campuses in both Florida and Alabama, as well as a network of churches called Liberty International.
Sunday morning November 5th, I preached in the Liberty Church Alabama Campus led by Pastor JP Wilson. At the 9 a.m. service I preached on “How the Church is Called to Reach Their Region. At the 10:45 a.m. service, I preached on “the Jesus Focused Life and Faith”.
God gave me great liberty to teach and preach — especially in the 10:45 a.m. service.
Pastor JP and his spouse are doing a fabulous job leading the Alabama campus of almost one thousand people!
November 6-10, 2017 – ICAL in Dallas
I ministered in two sessions at the annual ICAL gathering, which had about 400 international apostolic leaders from about fifty nations! It is perhaps the largest gathering of its kind in the world with leaders that represent networks influencing millions of people and tens of thousands of churches.
On Wednesday evening, I participated in a panel discussion with Rene Teranova of Brazil and Joseph Adafarasan of Nigeria on the subject “How National Coalitions Can Transform a Nation”. This was a very potent panel that brought great clarity to the leaders present.
On Thursday evening, I participated in a panel and taught for about 20 minutes and gave a historic overview of the various paradigms and roots of Christian movements and where we are today and what God is doing presently, leading to the consumption of human history.
November 18, 19, 2017 – Lowell, Mass.
On November 18, I taught two sessions (around 2 hours) to about 100 leaders from the New England region on the Ephesian model of reaching a city. God anointed me to teach and unpack key elements of the book of Acts chapter 19, Ephesians chapter 1 and Revelation chapter 2, which give an overview of this influential apostolic church.
In December I spent most of my time ministering in the two local church campuses of Resurrection Church and with backend administration items for the various organizations I am responsible for.
I also had to work on the finishing touches of my next book due out soon called “The Divided Gospel.” Hence, I took no outside speaking engagements that month, although it was extremely fruitful for ministry and family!
